I found this pollen laden bee sitting on this sunflower and wondered how he would manage to take off again. Notice how full his legs are.

These beautiful snow capped mountains are in Death Valley, California. The photograph was taken from Badwater. Although the water looks deep, in actuality, there's less than a foot of water here. It was one of those unusually cold, wet Decembers in Death Valley.

Secret Service Seagull. His photo was taken while resting on the rocks near the retirement home of President George Bush and his wife, Barbara in Kennebunkport, Maine. You can see their home in the background. The tree is on their property. Since I was focusing on the seagull, their home is difficult to see.

My wife's favorite flower. I took this to keep her happy in California. This lilac bush is in the yard of a good friend of ours in Leominster, Massachusetts.
